Psychotherapy with Karolina

About Me

I believe that all people are created to live a thriving life - not one without challenges or obstacles - but a life filled with meaning.

I also recognise that for some, this kind of life may be easier to achieve, while for others, it may come with much greater difficulties. Sometimes, we find ourselves merely trying to survive, and in those moments, we may even lose hope that things can change for the better.

I won’t promise you a life without challenges or hardships—because such a life doesn’t exist. However, I can promise that through our work together, you will feel more confident and empowered to navigate life’s challenges and embrace a life of abundance.

My therapy practice

My Approach

My approach is both supportive and engaging. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Therapy requires commitment and can sometimes be challenging, but over time, it can bring deeper self-awareness, a greater understanding of your relationships, and new ways to navigate life’s obstacles.

I work with warmth, compassion, and without judgment, providing a safe and confidential space where you can truly be heard.

My Training And Practice

I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherpy (Nr 00997880). I run a private practice in Highgate (N6) and Angel (N1) while also working as a counsellor at Highgate Counselling Centre.

I have experience supporting both men and women with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, relationship challenges, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.

My training includes studies at:

  • Highgate Counselling Centre

  • Tavistock Relationships

  • The Gestalt Centre

I am committed to continuous learning and regularly enhance my skills through CPD (Continuing Professional Development). I also engage in weekly supervision to ensure the highest standard of support for my clients.

Finding The Right Therapist

Choosing the right therapist can feel overwhelming, but it’s important to find someone you trust and feel comfortable with. A strong therapeutic relationship is built on a sense of safety and connection.

When you reach out, I offer a complimentary phone consultation of up to 15 minutes. This is an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves, giving you a sense of how I work and whether we might be a good fit. It also allows me to gain a better understanding of the challenges you’re facing.

Trees in the Wind

First Session

If you decide to move forward, we’ll begin with an initial consultation. This session differs slightly from ongoing therapy—it’s a chance for us to explore what you’re hoping to gain from therapy and get a feel for working together.

We’ll discuss your background, any difficulties you’re experiencing, and how therapy might support you. It’s also an opportunity for you to see if you feel comfortable with me and my approach.

By the end of our session, I’ll share whether I believe I can help, and you’ll have time to decide if you’d like to continue—there’s absolutely no pressure to commit.

The first session may last up to 90 minutes.
